Katherine Taylor is a sculptor living and working in Houston. Her sculptures, primarily in metal, are rooted in her longstanding fascination with the natural world and inclination toward whimsy and play. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College (1997) and an MFA from the University of Melbourne in Australia (2005). Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including exhibitions at Skoto Gallery, the National Arts Club, and the Hood Museum of Art. She is in several public and private collections in the US and abroad.

Katherine Taylor’s sculptures begin life outdoors and are inspired by the materiality of the landscape. Kt goes into the countryside to collect molds of natural textures; then she returns to her studio, to work with the textures she has found and create zoomorphic sculptures. Her work is a symbol of how we interact with nature, encouraging an appreciation and respect for its beauty and its impact on our well-being.
